Police Accident Repport Alberta

Figo tells you hear (Bonus Track)

Well, here Figo again ... As

I always felt that the 4 feet of Grunge Nirvana was the most "accessible", more shooting Soundgarden psychedelia at least for now, the most funkera Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains the heaviest ...

Like any band of that time, had to be powerful and charismatic, and much of this was given to the duet Cantrell / Stayley respectvamente on viola and vocals, one of those combinations identifiable by touch, voice and unique Staley Cantrell simplicity in creating heavy riffs and rhythm.

In 89 he released his album Facelift, which had good rotation and thanks to video sales of "Man In The Box", and was one of those things that were terminated 80 with its glam and paraphernalia and showed that 90s would be darker and more direct

For 91, went Dirt, perhaps his best album, which shows a clear allusion to the kid side of alcohol and drug addiction, which all members were of different shapes and substances at the time, the trigger of AIC to the top, if only in style. Then came

Jar of Flies, an acoustic EP, a rare thing back then for a heavy band with his record, however was well received by the critics and the people wearing the obscurity of his style to a calmer level and perhaps depression.

For 95 Stayley addiction to heroin had worsened and after a year without AIC work out the band's self-titled album, this time Stayley was so bad that Stayley gave demos of songs to write letters just as he was in rehab, out came the darkness and extreme levels of depression influenced by drugs in a view just before a powerful drive and very intricate.

After a year Alice In Chains is part of one of the first MTV Unplugged and one of the best ever (and not me) can see a very worn Stayley, who literally sat down to to sing without knowing very well that happened and well ... her eyes say it all ... Alice In Chains

went on standby from then on, as Cantrell was devoted to launching a solo album among other things, except for some awards shows and to record some songs in the 98 to get a compilation boxset.

From 96 onwards, Stayley increasingly secluded himself in his addiction, especially after the death of his girlfriend for heart problems arising from the use of drugs, then on his condition was deteriorating and increasingly more recluse in her apartment, not answering calls or visits ...
On April 19, 2002, after having not heard from Layne for two weeks, the police entered his apartment and found her body in an armchair with drugs of various types and tools to take it to his side, his body weighed 39 kilos and it is estimated that died on 5 April by the product of a cocktail called speedball died completely alone and his body was found two weeks later and identified by their teeth.

few years later, Alice In Chains was reformed with new singer and have released a new album a few days ago, called Black Gives Way To Blue, whose title track is dedicated to Layne and Alice In Chains back into the ring, it is not same without Layne, but still rocking as usual.

will be waiting when they come
